We EXPLORE roads and places both near and far, challenging the limits of our endurance and boundaries of our imagination in the company of like-minded cyclists.
San Diego Randonneurs (SD Randos) is an all-volunteer club of San Diegans who are long distance cycling enthusiasts looking for that next big adventure. We are the local chapter of Randonneurs USA (RUSA) sanctioned to run populaires and brevets in San Diego, Imperial, and South Riverside counties.
Our rides are between 62 miles (100 km) and 370 miles (600 km) in distance, ranging from 6 hours up to 40 hours. We are not fixed to just 1 or 2 starting locations. We start our brevets wherever we can explore all parts of our amazingly beautiful region while still finishing at local dining and drinking establishments and parks to share some food, pints and tall tales.
Our cycling events are NON-COMPETITIVE races; they are self-supported, timed rides where participants are required to follow a pre-designated route. We do compete against TIME: to beat the course cut-off time or to better our past results by striving for individual PRs.
We welcome riders of all experience levels looking to challenge their endurance and imagination while discovering new roads on our cycling adventures.
