For our 2026’s International Women’s Day populaire, Fabi is sharing the Whomies 100k that will be a grand day out on our bikes.
Starting from Bird Park at Morley Field, you’ll ride west through Hillcrest to reach Mission Bay. At Lamont, you’ll begin your climb up Lamont St, passing Kate Sessions Park, to continue toward the summit on Mt Soledad. But on this route, we’ll skip the Veterans Memorial Park, instead descend down Nautilus St to ride through La Jolla. To avoid the sketchy lefthand turn on Torrey Pines Rd, this route will take advantage of the pedestrian bridge to cross over to La Jolla Shores Dr to reach UCSD.
Descending down the UCSD/I-5 bike path to Sorrento Valley Rd, you’ll reach the 56 bike path where you’ll gently climb up to Black Mountain Rd where you’ll ride by MCAS Miramar to reach Tierrasanta, making your way to the 52 bike path climb to reach Mission Trails Summit.
From Santee, you’ll climb again on Mission Gorge Rd then down to Mission Valley for the last ascent up the Kensington I-15 bike path. Through Normal Height, you’ll ride down Utah St, passing Ted Williams’ childhood home before finishing at Bird Park.
Weather permitting, we will host a picnic at the finish.
Please read our accepted proof of passage.
