November’s 200k brevet, San Diego Big Loop, is a big loop of San Diego! Starting at the eastern edge of Mission Valley, the route heads due north to Escondido, via Kearny Villa/Black Mountain Rd and Pomerado Rd.

Turning west you’ll take advantage of some of the Escondido bike paths before hopping back onto roads for the remainder of the descent to Carlsbad. The route follows the usual path all the way down to Chula Vista, with Torrey Pines being the marquee climb of this somewhat flat, if not rolling, brevet.

Heading inland from Chula Vista, you’ll make your way to Eastlake, up to La Mesa, and finally some up and downs before a long descent on Montezuma Rd to the finish.
