A coast-hugging 200k for an august August ride.

Traditionally starting in Oceanside, this configuration will split the difference so that participants may enjoy an extended southbound ride with the prevailing tailwind.

Despite the deceptively flat looking route, there is the Torrey Pines promontory and the usual urban obstacles (namely traffic lights) that will slow you down.

Fret not though, as you will enjoy a comfortable day by the seaside enjoying the ocean breeze cooling you down as you hug long the coast, while randonneurs in other regions stay indoors hugging their air conditioning.
